The Meal Exists Because Of HIM

Administrator's picture

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven” (Hebrews 1:3, NIV).

Jesus shines brighter than the sun itself, because He is God. Anyone who questions His existence needs only to take a look around them to realize that nothing came into existence by chance. He orders everything perfectly, and all of creation is in His hands.

A Requested Meal Made In Abundance

Administrator's picture

“Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24, NKJV).

This Scripture is part of a conversation Jesus had with His disciples, but it still applies today. Many people aren’t accustomed to coming to God in prayer and making a request, but as our heavenly Father, He will grant what we ask when we pray in Jesus’ name. God wants us to experience true joy.

A Meal To Be Transformed

Administrator's picture

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2).

Thinking like most people means letting our minds dwell on any unhappy, unholy, discouraging thoughts that can pop into our minds unbidden. What we think about eventually works its way down into our hearts and spirits. If we make a conscious decision to meditate on God’s Word, we open ourselves up to Him and His direction for our lives.

The Meal To Rest In

Administrator's picture

`Come unto me, all ye labouring and burdened ones, and I will give you rest, take up my yoke upon you, and learn from me, because I am meek and humble in heart, and ye shall find rest to your souls, for my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light.'
 (Matthew 11:28-30 YLT)

A Meal That Stands Before God

Administrator's picture

“For there [is only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, Who gave Himself as a ransom for all [people, a fact that was] attested to at the right and proper time” (1 Timothy 2:5, 6, AMP).

A Meal Made Righteous

Administrator's picture

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus, the only human Who was ever 100 percent sinless, came down from heaven and took all our sins onto Him, to save us from what we deserved. Because of those sins, the Father briefly turned away from the Son and could not look upon Him. Jesus died and was resurrected out of His love for us, so that we could be made righteous through Him and share in His eternal life.

UNMERITTED MEAL

Administrator's picture

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ” (John 1:17).

We are all acutely and painfully aware of our own flaws and shortcomings, and without God’s grace, heaven’s gates would have remained closed to us. But Jesus offers us unconditional love and acceptance just as we are. The truth is that we are made in God’s image, and He welcomes us into His presence when we accept His Son.

A Meal Of Grace

Administrator's picture

“Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound” (Romans 5:20).

We will never be considered righteous in God’s eyes through our own efforts, no matter how hard we try to be good. But we can be thankful that grace, which is God’s unearned, undeserved favor, was given to us through Jesus. He makes us holy and righteous.

It Was Good Then and It Still Is Today

Administrator's picture

“Woe to him who covets evil gain for his house, That he may set his nest on high, That he may be delivered from the power of disaster! You give shameful counsel to your house, Cutting off many peoples, and sin against your soul. For the stone will cry out from the wall, And the beam from the timbers will answer it” (Habakkuk 2:9-11, NKJV).

The Meal Of Truth

Administrator's picture

“These are the things you shall do: Speak each man the truth to his neighbor; Give judgment in your gates for truth, justice, and peace” (Zechariah 8:16, NKJV).

As children of God, we are to deal with others honestly and make decisions according to His Word. This is not the way the world operates, because the world doesn’t know Him. When we do this, we will stand out like beacons of light.
